글러브박스는 물체를 조작할 수 있도록 설계된 밀폐된 컨테이너입니다. 측면에는 사용자가 손을 장갑에 넣고 박스 안에서 작업할 수 있습니다.  박스 일부 또는 전체는 사용자가 내부를 볼 수 있도록 투명 창을 제공합니다. 글러브박스는 두 가지 유형을 제공합니다. 첫 째는 방사성 물질이나 전염병과 같은 유해 물질로 부터 사람을 보호하는 용도입니다. 두 번째는, 수분과 산소에 민감한 물질을 아르곤이나 질소와 같은 고순도 불활성 대기 내에서 조작하도록 합니다.
